FAQs

Upper Cut Tree Service

  • Do I need to remove stumps?

Not necessarily, but it is often recommended. While not required for safety, leaving stumps from infested trees can spread disease, and they are often removed for aesthetic reasons. We're happy to do it as part of our tree services!
  • What is your removal cost?

Tree removal prices depend on the tree's height, diameter, and accessibility. Expect to pay more for trees close to structures or power lines due to increased complexity.
  • Should I use my own firewood?

Should I use my own wood for firewood? You can! And sometimes there is even a discount if we leave you your logs because we don't have to haul them away! For more questions about our options for tree removal, reach out today!
  • Do I need a permit?

Most cities do not require one, but the rules vary by municipality. Some cities, like Edina, may require a permit and, if approved, require replacing the removed tree with new ones. If you need tree removal services, contact us today!
  • When is the best time for tree work?

It depends on the species of trees and what services you are having done. For example, oaks and elms can only be trimmed after the first hard frost, but before it thaws, and fruit trees should be trimmed during the late winter months. Other trees may also have their preferred service window, so always be sure to ask! When you need tree services, be sure to call our team!
